So I pulled the trigger and purchased a set of red tank badges from a eBay seller in Thailand. We've all seen the ads that bombard your search with 20 listings in a row of the same item. We all think "Might be nice but I'll never see my money again." Anyway... I had $36 burning a hole in my pocket. Seller had good communication and they arrived within the timeframe specified. They are very thin stamping and the red color is dull. Looks almost pinky against the bike. One badge had spots where the color ran. I'm sure they deliberately send one good one and a bad. No problem with the screw holes lining up.
In the end you get what you pay for.

Have you contacted the seller to get a replacement for the faulty one? it is eBay after all if no reply just open up a dispute.
