Reproduction vintage tank badges

I have several sets of Ray's badges and did have some problems with cracking, which I have solved by flooding the backs with epoxy. I asked Ray why he doesn't manufacture them this way (like the originals) and he said the process just wouldn't allow it. anyway, his badges are very good, for the$$, IMHO, and they are what they are. just level the back with epoxy, don't overtighten, and they really look good.
