paint and clear lifting around filler hole

Hi all...I was wondering how you keep the paint from lifting around the filler opening? I had the tank repainted, and after 2 long rides, I went to refuel and the paint is already lifting. Is there something I can do to stop it from spreading and lifting anymore? (right now its hidden under the filler cap) Thanx in advance, Carl

I recall someone saying that silicon paste painted around the metal rim should take care of that. might want to do a forum search for it.
