Hi, i hope you guys can put up with someone restoring some older honda trail 90s here. i came into a bunch of them recently and i am restoring them frame up. i have been trying to research old paint codes and made some limited progress but nothing my paint shop can use. this forum looks really hopeful so i took the liberty of joining in the hopes we have something in common. i am looking for help ideally getting a PPG or similar crossover match for the following old honda colours. here is what i have so far. they were basically red or yellow until 1974 when they merged the two.
scarlet (ct200 to ct90k3) code "c" or "r-2" or maybe "R-2 C"
bright yellow (ct200 to ct90 k2) code XB or CJ or "R-2 CJ"
summer yellow (or smokey yellow) (ct90 k3 only) code "cc" (not sure if this is really a different colour to bright yellow)
mars orange (ct90 k4 and k5) code YR-6
cloud silver trim paint (non metallic)
kickstand black??
for those interested, i have three ct200s, four k0 ct90s, three k1 ct90s, a k4 and a k6. right now i have all the k1 and later bikes stripped down and ready to blast.
i am also very interested in sourcing the early honda cub blue and olive green codes or getting suggestions for other old honda colours. i only intend to do one red and one yellow for each of the model series, and then i would like to branch out...
and if i ever get all these done i am looking for a 305. but i have to finish. i passed on a 65 honda benly recently because my wife would have killed me!
help with paint codes for some trail 90s

The red (Scarlet) color code appears to be the same as the CL72/77 Scramblers which is R-2/C. Search this site for color codes and you will find numerous manufacturer's code numbers that match. Also there are a couple of rattle can paints that are close, Rust-Oleum Painter's touch Apple Red and Seymour Spruce Enamel Cherry red, per no. 98-4.
You can also find Cloud Silver manufacturer's numbers as well.
