Donington Classic Bike Festival

Post by G-Man » Sat Aug 08, 2015 2:04 pm

Just got back from the Classic Bike Festival at Donington Park.

Freddie Spencer and Jim Redman were among the guests of honour. Freddie took a 3 cylinder RS500 for a spin and Jim went out on Triumphs 2014 TT winning Triumph 675.

There were no less than three of George Beale's RC174 6-cylinder Honda replicas on show.

All three of them made it out on track for a glorious un-muffled symphony.....

Gordon

It's amazing to think that some guys in Europe could re-make Honda's finest 1960s race machinery 50 years on. A pity we couldn't do that the first time around....... :-)

I think George has built 8 replicas now. I only wish I had the money to buy one....
