Butler's Orchard May 17th....

Post by Vince Lupo » Thu May 14, 2009 9:49 am

Well it might possibly be wet on Sunday, BUT it's time for the annual Vintage British and European Motorcycle Show at Butler's Orchard this Sunday. I think the featured marques are Norton/Matchless/AJS, but I don't think they'll kick you out for riding your Honda to the event. Butler's Orchard is near Germantown/Mt. Airy, just east of Frederick, MD and a bit south.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the wet weather holds off, as it has rained on this event for the past two years. Hmm, maybe God really does ride a Harley after all......

Here's the link for the event: http://www.classicmotorcycleday.org/

Well the weather managed to hold off yesterday, and there was actually a decent turnout at Butler's Orchard. Lots of classic British and European bikes, as well as a small auto jumble area.

It was about a 100 mile round trip from my house, and was quite chilly for May. Let's hope for nicer weather next year.

Forecast caused me to plan for other things Sunday - turned out not so bad and I'm kicking myself for not riding up.

Thanks for the pix.

Vince,

Great shots. I too elected to listen to the weatherman. I am really sorry now.......
