Wish Me Luck

Post by britman » Tue Sep 02, 2008 6:57 pm

I am pulling out from home in central Virginia tomorrow morning heading to a Triumph Rocket 111 gathering in Eureka Springs Ark. There are about 25 to 30 R/3 riders who are going fight through the remnants of hurricane Gustav to meet on Friday Sept. 5 for a weekend of riding the Ozarks and telling lies. It's about 1300 miles one way for me to get there. I have one saddle bad full of Advil, Icy Hot, and Goody's Powders and hope these old 60 year bones hold up. See you all in about a week.

I am home, 2524 miles later. Came in Monday nite 9-9-08. My butt is still hurting but a good time was had by all. Twenty eight R/3's from all over the Country showed up.

Group Shot

Post by britman » Fri Sep 12, 2008 5:38 pm

Cecil,

Here is a group shot of the Rally. There was a giant antique car meet and a gathering of the Vietnam Vet Riders in Eureka Springs that same weekend. The Harley riders still outnumbered us, but we drew the biggest crowds. The first comment was always, "I didn't know Triumph was still making motorcycles."
