Let's try this out, folks. Your "profile" control should now have an option to upload an avatar.

The specs are: 80x80 pixels and under 6K or so. We can adjust as we move forward.

6KB? Can't upload a photo as your avatar at 80x80 pixels and get it under 6kb. Guess it's gotta be a simple line drawing?

How large a file would you need to upload? I can adjust the 6K ...just need to know how far.

Hi Michael -- thanks for the reply. It's really not a big deal, but with a JPEG at 80x80 pixels, and even with a '1' JPEG compression (the lowest quality), I'm still at about 35k. So probably something 40k would be great. But here again, I've survived this long without an avatar, so it might be a moot point. Whatever you think is best for the site is fine by me....

No problem here, you might try resizing the picture you want to use Vince.
I used the edit by pixel function in one of the photo archiving sites I use for my business.
