Hey gang,
Haven't posted in a while. Still waiting on a few minor pieces on my '62 CB77 to get it wrapped up. I had picked up 4 Dreams in the spring, two I sold for project money and two to work on. I was going to restore this first one initially, but when I got it back from the strippers the rear fender had some nasty repairs done in the past. I had a hot rod Dream motor I built 3 years ago just crying for a frame so I used this one after I worked the rear fender like a CB92. The motor had re-indexed CB77 cams to go with the 360 crank and I also used CB77 valves. I laced 18" rims to the drums and used a CB77 transmission. I am just starting the tuning process. Used a CB77 speedo/tach unit by grafting the bucket mount ring to the Dream bucket. Also had an old C72 tank lying around and used that. Unfortunately, I did not have an early seat to use so I have that ugly gap between the tank and seat. Ditched the original shocks and went with 11" Hagons.

Thanks fellas. Cliff, I sold my '62 CB92 last October. It was just sitting under cover so I sold it to apply to son's college expenses. I had made a styrofoam copy of the CB92 tank to fiberglass over and put on a Dream frame, but I never took it any further. It would look sharp having a Benly SS tank on it. I think I would like to put a Honda solo seat on it or try to find one of the early double seats to fit the tank better. Work in progress...................................................

That adds a whole new sense of lightness and purpose to the Dream. The 18 inch wheels just look so right. I wonder if a CB77 rear hub and TLS brake plate would work at the front.....
I'm sure that I've seen a pic of a CB71 somewhere on this site.

Lovely piece of work.
