You certainly have a nice bike there, any of the racers / modifiers will know how much work has went into it from the pictures. One thing I wondered if you have checked how many gears it has ?
possibly you have a 5 speeder in there. Looking at the reversed shift reminded me that the Nova 5 speeders (except the very early ones ) are made so the reversed lever makes a std. shift pattern.
I hope this makes sense and you enjoy the bike.

Hi Gordon
You know I hadn't even thought to check (and I'm glad the GP shift pattern has been identified as I would no doubt confused myself!). So that's 1 up and 4/5 down, correct?
Jerry, thanks for helping identify the front hub - does this make it ineligible for certain classes?
Cheers
John

I would say that looking at the bikes at PI last month , there should be no questions about the eligibility of that drum brake.
It's clearly a replica of those used on the CR72 production racers. How close of a replica is it? Looks good to me.
And if Bill had said the same thing to me I would have been happy with that reply.
Jerry, I wish you hadn't mentioned the shift pattern. Now I can't recall which way mine operated. I had the stock box with a linkage and with a reversed lever and now I'm confused. Thanks for reminding me. I'll have to check that.
I was at Broadford last year for a club event and a guy there had a British twin with what was clearly a Suzuki front end. I asked him if that was an issue with the eligibility guys and he said he told them it was off a Matchless or AyJay or something. Quite frankly if it's a drum it's technology of the period. Period. I have no issues with that and never did.
Any drum passes the 10 yard rule as far as I'm concerned.
