Hey All,
I would really like to put a set of low rise bars on my bike..
I did order a set of CB400 bars...and yeah...they really aren't going to work...for me anyways...
Luckily I can use them on another bike I'm working on..
Anyhow.
As noted by the pictures..the wire holes are in the wrong place for the Dream..
Yes...I could drill new holes etc...but...
I'm sure there's a set of bars out there that have them in the proper location..
I've already converted to a standard twist throttle so milling a slide channel etc. is not needed...
Also - anyone know which (shorter) brake and clutch cables will work ?
Thanks !
Dan
Low rise bars again...correct bars and cables ?
Low rise bars again...correct bars and cables ?
Hey Dan,
THere are probably better options out there but this is what I used: -chopped and drilled drag-bars -CB77 Throttle -CB77 Mid-Bar Clutch Cable (I think I got mine from 4into1.com) -MC Brand Honda Grey External Throttle Cable CA72 CA77 17910-262-000 (Ebay) -MC Brand Honda Front Brake Cable 1961 CA72 CA77 Dream Touring 45450-262-000(Ebay) I originally ordered a CB77 brake cable thinking it would work but alas, the ends were of a different design. THe MC Brand cables I got work but aren't as pretty workmaanship wise. As pictured below, there is a bit of slack in the brake cable and throttle cable but it does not bother me. The tricky part for me was getting the cables to route from the perches to the holes in the side of the fork. It's a very tight fit!
