I have a 1964 CA77E and need to remove the key switch assembly from the speedometer/headlight housing. I can't see the apparent way to go about this and would like some advice on how to proceed. Is there a special tool required? Thanks for your help!

Remove key switch assembly
You just have to remove the ring on the outside of the switch. You can try to find or make a C spanner or you can try gently tapping the ring undone with a piece of hardwood in one of the slots.
