Is the engine burning oil?? lots of white/grey smoke, or is it black smoke??
Is float not shutting off or set too high? How does it idle, and do the idle jets work correctly?
Did you physically remove the carb and inspect all jets and passages by blowing air through them? or take a can of wd40 and squirt fluid through all passages with the straw?? It just takes one passage for this to happen. And new gas being half crap, it doesnt take much to clog a carb passage.

re fouled out plugs
i have not checked jets yet, bike idles great, starts on the first time. runs great for about 10 min, then a puff of black smoke comes out of exhuast and will not accel over 30mph, still idles great at this time. float is not hitting gasket, boiled floats to make sure there were not holes. was on the way to the blessing of the bikes when i broke down, over 6000 bikes, what a miss.

R. if the plugs are rich, i.e. black, you need to LOWER the needle to lean out the mix..

I feel your pain. When I first got my CA77, I toiled with this issue infinately. Put your patience hat on and go to the carburation section and sift through the posts. There are a few reasons why your bike could be running rich, and you WILL find the answers. For my bike, it turned out that I needed a new needle and needle-jet. I got the kit from Fast Fred who posts on this board. Good luck!
