Need help ID bike

Title says 1966 Honda 305 Dream. Engine stamp says CA77E 1022792. Frame stamp says 1022782. Is this actually a 66?

Crickets.?? WRBerg got no response. I will try. Can anyone help, mine is CA78-1009998.
My CA160 is CA160-1012219. Where is this information stored for review??? Need to know what year to get a title. Any info would be appreciated.

If you look at the wiring harness under the gas tank (maybe inside the frame) you will see a little white tag which records the date of manufacture date of the wiring harness. Bike date will be slightly later than that.

7-digit frame numbers are all late '64 onward and Honda did not split the sequence into years from then on so you have to do a little research. Luckily e3Steve has done that for us in the form of this list.

These are CB77 numbers but the CA78 may be similar....

As for the CA160, this is the forum forum 250 & 305 owners so that will be somewhere else.

Honda published a list of numbers in the Parts manual for each bike. If you don't have a manual - it is a good idea to get one.
