how to remove the chrome side covers from tank

getting stuff ready for painting, how do you remove the chrome side covers from the gas tank?

Theres a screw under the emblem that you need to remove. After you get that off, you slide the chrome panel towards the seat because there's a slide (clip) that holds it onto the tank.

Remove the Honda emblem to get to the bolt that holds the side cover on. Look here for the schematic:

thanks guys. i actually removed one screw off the badge and started to rotate it but it didnt look like anything was behind it so i stopped. just goes to show not to do anything halfassed:)
