After finally getting my 1968 cl77 to what i beleved to be in good running order, updated electric, battery, rectifier,plugs, new lights and a lot of cosmetic sprucing up. The bike was running great it would kick over first time.
However i was riding it yesterday and noticed oil around the right hand plug. I put this down to a loose plug, pulled them both and as they seemed a little old and dirty replaced them.
I took the bike out today heading for Angelos crest near Los Angeles. the ride was going well when all of a sudden i began to loose power, by the time i managed to pull over the top end had a lot of oild spilled out onto it, i believe from the breather. I managed to kick the bike over again and ride it very slowly to gas station, but the bike had very little and felt like it was only running on one cylinder.
There was a lot of smoke and and oil coming from the breather almost blue looking smoke coming from the exhaust and a few back fires. i pulled the plugs when i got home they were very oily.
Iam thinking that worst case scenerio i have blown my top end best case i have blown ring.
I live in Los Angeles any tips words of wisdom or recomendations for a good mechanic would be really appreciated.

Maybe piston/ring problems, but it could be a blown head gasket. If the gasket let go between the cylinder and the cam chain tunnel it would lose power and pressurize the crankcase, blowing oil everywhere.
