no key for switch cl77

i'm currently looking at buying a 67 scrambler cl77 for resto/repair.i want to check out the wiring and see if there is power getting to the points and see if it gets spark.

there is no key to turn it on and when i plug in the battery the ignition switch would get power to different leads but nothing was comming out.

is there a way to jump those connections kind of like hot wirring

any help is great
