CL72 sealed beam headlight problem
CL72 sealed beam headlight problem
I replaced the defective original headlight on my CL72 with a sealed beam unit, but now the headlight assembly will not fit into the headlight shell. The 3-wire electrical connector at the rear of the headlight bumps into the upper end of the speedometer cable. I don't see a possible fix for this. Any suggestions? Thanks! --Randall

Headlight solution
It won't fit unless you go to a replaceable H-4 bulb and bend the tabs on the ears of the bulb. That works and you can cut slots in the rubber sealing grommet to bring the tabs out the sides.
You might be able to bend yours, but that is your call.
