Rear fender vibration and mounting...
ok.. the vibration in the rear fender on my 67 cl77 seems excessive. I know they do but it actually broke my tailight bracket. I guess my question is, where the fender mounts to the grab bar is there supposed to be rubber bushings in there? I mounted mine solid I guess I don't see how that could change the vibration much since the mount under the seat is solid. Any input?

Aron,
I'm not sure if any were supposed to be there. Others may be able to comment on that, but I went ahead and cut out some thin rubber bushings using an old inner tube and some steel gasket punches. My CL did not have any when I removed the fender and it was cracked in several places. You can not see the thin bushes when the fender is mounted, so if they are not supposed to be there no one will be able to notice anyway. I installed them on the lower fender mount and the mount under the seat.

mounting
I guess what made me wonder about it is the holes where the fender mounts to the grab bar are large, I don't remember for sure but I think they were probably 1/2-3/4"

CL77 Fender
I've bought small rubber grommets from Lowes before. You might check there or as mentioned, just make some rubber washers from an old tube. They do shake some. I've changed the bulbs over to 1157 Halegen bulbs also.
vibration
yeah I need to get it fixed. even after I welded the tailight bracket up before it has broken again in a different spot. I think im gonna get a led tailight bulb since they take vibration better.
