Re: oil leak
It will cause the oil to puddle between the top cover and gaskets and the oil will come out the tube.
Usually when you run above idle. ...........lm

Have you taken the top cover off the engine?. .........lm

Dan Atsma wrote:Any thoughts? Scrambler is leaking oil out the right side of the case, a lot of oil. The oil level is correct (it was down), took the side cover off cleaned everything up and rode it 1/2 mile no leak, ran it two miles at 55 and it spewed again. is there a vent that could be plugged and causing it to overheat?
I'm confused!

Re: oil leak
Thanks, I will check that and adjust the tappets and see if that clears it up

Do I have the same problem? Lost power and stalled after running about 20 minutes at pretty high RPM's. I noticed oil leaking from the right side cover so i trailered it home. When I removed the right side cover this is what I found. The bike has been in my family since new and has about 27k miles on it without any motor work ever being done. Hopefully I can get it up and running again.
Thanks,
Brian
