You would be wise to try and find a decent original grab bar and have it re-chromed. One of my friends who is restoring his CL77 bought one of the aftermarket bars from overseas and ended up with a mis-formed item that would not fit his bike. After numerous unsuccessful attempts with the vendor to rectify the problem he gave up and had his original re-chromed for less than the cost of the aftermarket item with shipping. I have heard the chrome quality is also not good with rust showing up on it soon after receiving the bar.
