Blade & Brace

Post by OldScrambler » Tue Jan 17, 2017 12:44 pm

The 6-hole is the same profile as the 8-hole and the original 6 holes are in alignment to the 8-hole brace.........so just add two new holes in the blade.

That ebay bobbed item will not fit on the steel fork legs.

I will check my spares. I may have a spare steel blade and a complete brace..........may need minor work on the blade plus paint. Always tweak the brace on the forks to fit the blade...........

I'll let you know later today..................If you send an email I can return pics. Dennis in Wisconsin

So are we saying that there are 2 diferent bracket types in relation to the mouning onthe forks? as I never see them labled as early or late in listings as you find with many other parts

Yes, early style forks (small brake hub) have the 8-hole fender + bracket
Later style forks (big hub) have the 6-hole fender + bracket

The mounting points on the forks are different so afaik they are not interchangeable.
