Now I'm really confused. The frame has the early style front seat mount. Which does not look like it was added later. Also the brake cable bracket appears to be factory welded also. I just assumed that this was an early, small brake bike that had some parts swapped out later like so many others. Since the frame number is so close to the transitional number it may have a mix of parts from the factory. Then again it may have been built from several parts bikes. Thanks for all of the input. I'll post some pictures of the build up as it goes.

The seat was changed at CL77-1033XXXX. ..................lm
