In response to your tank sealing question,,,,,,, evapo rust is a great way to do the rust treatment so you're on the right track. Kreem, I've used already and not had bad experience with it as yet but I think it is a Teflon product and in IMO is not a hearty product. My next tank seal will surely be POR-15. Cost about $20 at NAPA for a quart and you can seal a lot with that much. I have never heard bad words about it unlike things I've heard about Kreem. That's my two cents for what it's worth,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,RW

I'm really impressed with the job that the evaporust has done. I wish I would have taken before and after pictures.
It's available at Autozone but only in quarts at $9.00. If you have a Harbor Freight close by they have 1/2 gallons.
I'll be on my way to NAPA on Monday to pick up the POR-15 sealer. The good thing about the evaporust is that it doesn't hurt the paint. My tank has a pretty good paint job and I really didn't have to repaint it. I'll be careful with the sealer.....
I did find that I have a leaky petcock though. I'll try to find a kit on ebay.

Thanks to everyone for their help. Tomorrow morning when I drain the evaporust I'm going to measure the tank brackets and see if I can figure out the reason for the tight fit on the tank vs the carbs.

That is an aftermarket fender brace. Not a honda part.

It IS actually a HONDA part but is for the 8 hole fender steel slider front end. ...........lm
