For anyone following this post: Rickytic deserves my utmost thanks. I did indeed call him and we talked about the harness AND he solved my aforementioned horn issue as well. I found that the small cone washer needed to be reversed and that I believe the contacts on the other side switched around. I now have a working horn. If that wasn't enough he even offered up some gray tubing for my brake switch wiring. Talk about a stand up guy!
