The buddy pegs on the Scrambler I am refurbishing for my friend droop. The parts bikes pegs folded up and stayed up. That is, until I cleaned them up to put on Jim's bike. Now they are sloppy and flop down to about a 22 degree angle. How do I get them to snap to attention?
Thanks
Steve

Check the pivot pins and the holes they pass through, for wear. If worn you could open out the holes for a bigger pin.
You can also build up the footrest tube with weld where it rests on the bracket.

Just for info, GMan has a good idea to check the pin holes also, he is quite correct on most of his ideas and solutions on these old things. When I rebuilt my CL77 the pin holes were fine but still had droop, then I replaced the rubber and all is well. Enjoy and keep the shine side up.
