cable adjuster stops

Again, looking at parts diagram, I see parts that I don't have. Cable adjuster stop wire things. Looks like they bolt to levers and the cables are guided thru. Cosmetic only? Needed? Thanks, Sean

They perform the same task as the lock nut on later style adjusters and fit in with the style of the CL as a competition bike where you can turn the big adjuster nut while you are in the saddle....
