Way back when, when I bought a new CL77, it had a rubber cover on the shifter - similar to the one that can be seen on the CL here:

Thanks for the info. Can't really tell if it's the correct shifter or not from the photos. But I do know that my '67 had a rubber cover on the shifter and I haven't been able to locate a source for one.davomoto wrote:That bike has an incorrect shift lever.
