Hi guys,
I took the scrambler for a 2 mile jaunt today to get it inspected (Missouri requires it to rip owners out of $10.00) prior to getting license after 19 years. After a fresh battery charge, it started on about the third kick and idled fine while pulling out of the yard and through the first two or three intersections. After about 4 or 5 blocks I noticed it revving a lot higher than it did on start up and by the time I got to the inspection station, it was really revving fast with the clutch engaged.
Should I set the idle screws to an appropriate idle speed AFTER warm-up?
If so, do I just feather the throttle when I first start it up to keep it going until warmed?
I don't think I have a sticking throttle problem as it seems to go back to the stops when released.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gary

Any suggestions would be appreciated. YOU MAY HAVE ONE CARB SLIDE A LITTLE HIGHER THAN THE OTHER WHICH CAN/MAY CAUSE THIS
Thanks,
Gary

My CA77 was doing this the other day -- idling faster and faster during a city ride. I almost had to stop and ask to borrow a screwdriver. When it was almost unbearably annoying, it just suddenly stopped idling high and began idling perfect. Not sure why it would go from a super-high idle to perfect in 3 blocks...
