Turns out the frame number is CB72E-314800. This is different than the engine number so does it mean they are from different bikes? It's a bitsa?

No log book.

Honda frame and engine numbers were usually within 200 numbers of each other so probably the engine and frame didn't leave the factory together. It's a rarity if the numbers match.
