Installing CL77 exhaust on my CB77...
Hello forum members,
I'm bringing back to life a 65 CB77... I got it about 3 yrs ago non-running almost complete. The idea was to cafe race it, since then I've decided to keep it stock with a few modifications. So far I've de-rusted gas tank, rebuilt carbs, rebuilt petcock and got new spark plugs & plug wires. My question to you guys is: Has one on here installed CL77 exhaust on a CB77 and if so I like get some info on how to or where on the frame to hang CL pipes any info will help... Thanks in advance!

Honda actually provided for using the CL77 pipes on a CB77. The CYB race kit parts list included this bracket which can be used to attach the rear end of the pipes to the rear shock mount.

David Silver in the US still lists this part but it should be possible to make something similar from steel strip.

I had CL pipes on a 62 CB77 years ago, I hauled it in the back of the truck I think when sold it and using the ratchet straps those pipes hit the front fender and dented it before I knew what was happening. Anyone else have this experience?

Sorry - I must have bought the last one.....
Good luck with the fabrication. There was one on eBay US a while back so you might be lucky.
