Hi,
I had a trial run of fitting my new reproduction mufflers to my CB77 the other day, and came across a problem.
The side stand on my bike appears to be too short - there's a recessed part in the muffler that I assume the side stand is supposed to fit into when its folded away, but mine just hits the muffler a long way forward of that. The bracket which the side stand attaches to on the bike looks to be original, my guess is that the previous owner fitted a different side stand when he fitted the exhaust system which is on the bike at the moment.
I'd be really grateful if anyone could post a picture of how the side stand should sit with original mufflers, and if someone could measure the length of an original side stand so I can make sure mine is definitely the wrong one.
Thanks :)
Steph.

A rubber donut is installed on the arm and it touches the bottom of the muffler. ...........lm
