Timing was perfect on this. Assume Type II oil quantity is the same for CB or CL forks, yes.

6.8 corresponds to 200 cc +/- (6.76 oz actually). 6.3 is closest to 185cc (6.25 oz)

Were those metric amounts the original OEM specs?

Out of curiosity, where were these numbers published. I cannot find any info on the Type II forks in any of the CB or CL manuals I have. All address the Type I which take more oil. Was it in a bulletin, owners's manual, or is this based on your experience.

Thanks,

Rob

Okay. Then I guess I should ask to be sure before I proceed. What is the correct quantity of oil for a 1967 CL77 front fork.

Is the spec book available?

Thanks,

Rob
