Is my centerstand bent?

Post by big-b » Wed Mar 10, 2010 8:22 pm

It just doesn't look symetric, but there doesn't seem to be any sign of it being bent. No creases or dents or anything like that. 6" between the bottom pads.

It does look a little odd. I would expect the two feet to be in line with eachother. i.e. if you stand it up on a flat surface the two feet should be level with the surface and the mounting holes should be level and in line with eachother. That might tell you which bit is out of line.

Brian,

Here is a similar picture of an NOS Superhawk centerstand I just picked up. Seems to measure about the same 6" between legs but doesn't appear to be whacked like yours. The real question is does it hold you bike up straight when it is on it and is the rear wheel completely off the ground? Personally I think both of the legs are cocked to the left.

The guy I got mine from has another one for the same price, which at $54.95 is a steal!

Good luck, Phil

Thanks Phil, i'm really not sure it might just be the angle of the pictures. Like you said if it holds the bike up (which it does) and looks prety close, i'll call it good.

Come on down!
