My new CB77
My new CB77
As I am a new member I was wondering if anybody out there can identify my latest pride and joy. I had a CB 77 in the 70s and have always hankered after another one. I was on the point of giving up when I found this one on the internet. I didn’t waste any time and went over to see it straight away. I was amazed to find that the bike was totally original. The machine was brought to the UK in 2000 from Nevada USA which probably explains the remarkable condition as it has only covered 16500 miles from new. The engine is quite remarkable the last owner informed me that he has never even adjusted the carburettors. Totally oil tight and mechanically very quite and vibration free. There is no evidence that this engine has ever been apart, cables are original. The bike was built in 1967 and I have been led to believe that the colour metallic red and chrome mudguards make it special. The Engine no is CB77E1043961, and the frame CB771043961. Can anyone help? PS Iam having problems posting a photo ?

First of all, welcome to this forum. You will find a wealth of information here to aid in keeping your new treasure healthy.
As far as having trouble with posting your pics, Here is a place that may help make it easier.
Please see Guns' post in off topic section"How to downsize your photos for the forum". Most trouble is because the pics are way too large and need to be shrunk.
Hope this helps and you you can load your pics soon. RW

If it's not original someone has done a good job as I can find no trace of the original paint ?
