Finding a CB77?

Hello,

I'm very interested in finding a CB77. One that needs work would be great, I'd like to spend $1000 or less. Is that possible?

Where would you guys recommend looking for one?

Fuze, I always scoure my local craigslist, and you can look at them a bit farther from home too. They also come up on ebay. Do youself a favor, and buy Bill Silvers books now, as you'll surely need them anyway. There are a lot of great tips on what to look for when buying a used 305. You should be able to find something within your budget, though it's usually wiser to spend more, and save yourself the headaches.

I purchased mine for 1200, running. and have, so far, had very few headaches in the restoration, but mind you, that i haven't got her on the road yet either, other than a test drive before i tore her down for restore, and in that test, she was a bit noisey, so there could be some minor or serious issues there.

total should come out to about 2500 from purchase to finish.
