Ya are correct about the bracket breaking but was caused more by owners sitting on the bike when the side stand was used rather than by the weight of the bike.
The one which broke most was the AM issue. ............lm

I think the bracket breaks more often than the actual stand. Too much up and down play in my opinion for a cast piece. That's one of the things I'll be trying to improve during my build.

I'm sure someone has a pic. It attaches somewhere towards the left side closer to the rear of the frame.

You see that all the time with the vintage Vespa's. People will sit on 'em when they're on the center stand causing the stand to warp or break.
