Hello, Guys,
I'm new to the forumand 305 world. I just bought it and love it. A big jump form a 66 honda cub ha.
My question is, Is my super Hawk a 63 if my motor # starts with a #3 Thanks for your time and I look forward to talking to you guys.
Really old CB77
Once again contacted D. Silvers and here is the reply, not very conclusive.:(
Hi Again mike,
I'm showing the sell date for this model as being 1961 - 1968.
It's quite difficult to pin down exact details for these 60's bikes as Honda
hadn't quite got their VIN numbering and part numbering systems together at
that time.
In the details I have here, the first VIN number is shown as being
CB77-100001 and the first engine number is CB77E-100001.
So logically I would say that yours would be a 1961 model as the numbers are
so close to 100001.
But again I can't stress enough how difficult it is to confidently pin these
60's model to an exact year.
I hope this is helpful
Kind Regards
Tim

Thank you for your very prompt reply! Alas I require a little more info
please...
I have been posting on a forum for H305's and have gotten conflicting
details. I am including 2 pictures, one of the VIN for the frame and one of
the EIN. I really would like to know more about this machine. I have been
told this is a late '64 CB77?
Again thank you very much for any help you can give me in advance.
