Picked up a 1966 CB77!

One thing that bothered me about my bike was the lack of the gold Honda script on the back of my seat. In discussion with Loud Mouse he told me that he had the right size/font reverse decal. Thanks to Loud Mouse for supplying me with the transfer and telling me where to get the paint! The pics may be out of order, but I will do my best.

Been kind of quiet on the Superhawk side of things, but I recently picked up an NOS set of aftermarket turn signals for my CB77. Personally I would much rather ride it without them, but I really don't dig riding bikes around where I live (Boston Metro area) without them.

I found this set on ebay and made an offer of $85.00 and the guy accepted it. It is complete and brand new and includes, the 4 turn signals, two red for the rear, and two amber for the front, 4 mounts, a switch and a flasher unit.

The fronts went right on in place of the headlight mounting bolts and the rears will mount to the top shock bolt easily. All I will then have to do is to create a harness from the back and connect everything inside the headlight bucket, while mounting the switch on the handlebar.

Plus the whole setup will come off in about 10 minutes if I really want to remove it, with no outward sign it was ever there.

Oh things were so much simpler in 1966, not to mention a whole hell of a lot less traffic...

P.S. The rear shock is off because when I removed the top shock nut, I found that the top shock bushings were junk, so I am waiting on some new ones!

Thanks, yeah someone mentioned that in another thread I have posted on here. And I can't wait until I can ride the thing more than the 10 miles I already have!

Installed my ALL BALLS Tapered steering head bearing kit today! Ended up using the thinner supplied spacer and it was within about 0.020" of the height of the original cup and cone bearing stack. Also discovered that the axle was in backwards as fitted by the PO. Also found that the front brake cable adjuster was broken in two on the brake plate. Good thing I have an NOS cable just waiting to go in! Chased the threads and they are good to go!!!

Does anyone make a decent re-pop harness for this bike? I would LOVE to put a new wiring harness in.
