Thought I would share this because it made me smile....
I have been cleaning up a nice set of round bowl 26mm carbs for my CB77 and was wondering what the originals looked like. They are hidden in a box in the workshop so I had to resort to this "just out of the car" picture. If you look very carefully you will notice that the unfortunate PO had put the carbs back on the wrong sides!
The nuts are all tight so it wasn't like they had just been thrown on. This makes setting them up a little challenging but I cannot imagine how difficult it was to operate the choke.
I wonder if the bike ever ran after that?
When I opened up the cases it was a pretty horrible sight as the engine had been full of water for a long time and one of the selector forks was broken. Another reason it didn't go far. It must have been a pretty depressing end for the old bike......
Not too long and I hope to have a freshly rebuilt engine reunited with the frame.

I see we seem to share similar rescue missions.......G-Man wrote:Thought I would share this because it made me smile....

I drug this jewel home after the PO told me he was in the process of re-building it, but just didn't have the time to finish!
Note the drive sprocket is on the left side!
