Hello
I'm from Michigan too. What coincidence! I just bought a 63 CB77 too. It will be dropped off next Monday. It will need a lot of work. It doesn't run (yet), needs correct exhaust, kickstarter, centerstand, correct front fender & correct handlebars. My delimma is whether I should do a full correct restoration or cafe it like I do normally. My goal is to learn on this bike and have a daily reliable rider. So stock or cafe route? I think it is in rough enough shape that I would cafe it.

Welcome ey, how about a halfy-halfy? Like, CR the parts that you don't have or cannot obtain. Do it bit by bit: get it running, then walky(ridey)-round-the-garden until it's ready to be inspected for road use.
Whatever you do, enjoy it; it's an indelible signature in motorcycle history!
G'luck!
