cb77 found in a shed

Post by smstavola » Sun Jul 30, 2006 9:10 pm

Please forgive my ignorance, but I found a CB77 on some property my parents purchased. It's not been used since 1981, so I'm pretty sure that the motor is seized. First, where do I start to fix this beast, and then where do I go to get this titled in my name? Help, Help, Help!!!
I'm SUCH a newbie. I need HELP!!!

The easy one 1st. Go online to: WWW.its-titles.com Next, Does the engine kick over? How did you determin it was stuck? Any way Remove the spark plugs and put some light weight oil in the cylinders. I have used Marvel Mystery oil with good results, but there are as many opinions on what to use as there are stuck engines! Just some kind of light oil. My current project had a stuck engine when I got it and I used some 10-40(the only thing I had at the time) I let it soak for 5 days and it was loose the first try! If yours is stubborn you may have to soak longer or worst case you may have to tear it down. So, keep in touch with the forum ask Q's and let us know how its progressing. Good Luck, Steve
