CB72/77 front fender

Post by rrietman » Wed Dec 10, 2008 6:36 pm

how many diferent front fenders are there for the CB'S? would a CB72 with steel sliders use the same fender as a CB77 with steel sliders? I assume the later alloy fork bike fender would have different length stays?
TIA

CB72 and 77 stell legs use the same front fender. The fender is different for the later alloy legs.

D: thanks this is what I thought. the alloy slider fender would have shorter stays? I think the CB72 I just picked up has the wrong fender with it, the stays seem way too short.
Thanks

The stays are shorter, and the center bracket is straight rather than angled. I had the same issue not too long ago, and posted an ad on craigslist, and found someone to swap with. you may try the same, or post on this website as well.
