Electronic Ignition Feedback

I'm considering Michael Stoic's Electronic Ignition. One of my reservations is it still uses the mechancial advance mechanism.

Are there any other systems out there that are fully electronic and do away with the mechanical advance?

Getting back to Michael's system, any long term reports on how it works? My biggest concern with the design is the clamp holding the rotor in place and blue Loctite keeping it there. How does this system hold up over time and miles?
