CL V CB Coils

Hi all,

Can anyone tell me if I can use CB77 coils on a CL77.

Will they fit the CL bracket?

Checking the CL77 parts list I see that it lists a -273- part number for the coils which theoretically makes it unique to the CL model.

However, I have both a CB and a CL and I'm 99% sure that the coils are the same, difference might be nothing more that a slight difference in the lengths of the wiring.

Obviously the coil brackets are different but I'm sure that the CL coils will fit the CB brackets and vice versa.

BTW, Uncle Joe Lucas coils fit the brackets too and despite bad press have worked just fine on my CL77 for ten years!

They are the same like DJM says.
The 273 is so you can order a complete coil for the CL72/77 also 268 for the CB72/77. . .........................lm
