replacing the coil, points and condensor

Post by ryan_siefrin » Tue Sep 27, 2005 8:25 pm

well, i bought all the new parts on ebay. I ended up getting the aftermarket coild for 51 dollars.

does anyone know where the condensor is on a CA77. i'm thinking it's located on the top of the Head. If so how is the best way to ge to this?

also, what will i need to do in order to replace the point assembly?

thanks

Yeah, it's on the head, no mine I had to pull several motor mounts to let the motor swing down for access, kinda a pain but not horrible. Some pe4ople just cut the wires and relocate the condenser elsewhere. There is a discussion thread on this somewhere in the thousands of postings on the forum. I was reading it just the other night .
