I am restoring my 65 / 305 Dream and my rectifier was a bit rusted up. I was blasting when I noticed the the paint appeared to have a metallic primer underneath. I have 2 questions:
1. Now that I have blasted the rectifier clean, can I just re-paint or better yet, powder coat it?
2. The rubber insulator was dry rot. How important is it to be replaced?
