Hi Ed

Thanks for the offer ! Will send you a PM.

Steve - I may treat myself to a heli-coil kit anyway as they are so useful.

thanks Phil

I've been collecting for a couple of years......☺ Indispensable! I can't count how many casing screws have crapped-out.

Hi Steve

Thats what you call a well equipped toolbox !

Off to Stafford tomorrow to hunt for bits ( Brit & Japanese ) and have yet another look at the
CBR250 engined specials. Quite fancy doing one with a spare CB72 frame and putting it on the
road but who knows if it'll ever happen.
Have a 1989 Yamahga FZR250 EXUP on the road and that is great fun but not in town.

Had a look at a RC71 waiting restoration this week .. strange looking machine but you can see the heritage.

cheers

Phil

Good luck with the hunt.

And I wish I'd put a lump-hammer and a broken hacksaw blade in the drawer, now!! Missed 'wizard wheeze' photo-opp there.....

ROFLOL, Hotshoe! We Anglo Saxons started the language; your New World ancestors and the rest of you have been screwing with it since (thank Christ for that or we'd still be speaking like Willy the Shake or Old Sam Pepys!!).

FYI: wizard wheeze is an old boys'-school colloquialism for a bloody good laugh; Shakespeare would probably have penned it as 'a jaunty jape'.

Phil

Sounds like LM has you covered now. I was going to offer to turn up some threaded bushes that you could silver-solder in place.

I know where you saw that CR71, too!

Where are you in UK?
