Thanks, I tried that too but all my local NAPA had in solid core were blue wires, didn't like the look. But britman has me coverd now anyway ;)

speaking of a Ford 8N, hope to have a Ford 9N to fix up myself some day. My father had one back in the 60's, it's what i first learned to drive. :D

Left on the Brown Truck yesterday. You should see them Monday or Tuesday. I was in the same boat as you were. I went to everywhere in town to include small engine and tractor repair shops, there was no copper cord to be found. British Cycle sold me the 100 foot roll at a really good price, around $30.00 if I recall, but that was before copper prices went through the roof. Here is their website if anyone else is interested in buying in bulk.
