Electronic Ignition, A Little Help...
Hi all, My probe ignition may have crashed...I have a new battery, coils and power to the ignition unit but have only fire on the left side. A friend of mine tried to troubleshoot the system and came to the conclusion that the trigger unit had a fault. I have sent some e-mails to the probe folks as well as Michael Stoic here on the site but haven't received any response on how to troubleshoot the system. One thing I noticed when we were working on it is the red light on the sending unit would come once the ignition was turned on, then it would be intermittent during our testing? Any help would be appreciated as it looks like a replacement ignition system is in the cards but it would be nice to verify that I am not missing something. And, the big question, how do I remove the trigger unit from the shaft? I had the crimped collar/ball bearing off but am concerned as to how the actual rotating unit is removed. Thanks, Tim in Florida

Update..
To All, Mark from Probe Engineering responded to my inquiry. He said the best way to troubleshoot the system is to return it to him for testing. This level of customer service is unusual nowadays. I will keep you posted. Tim

Fixed
Mark at Probe Engineering repaired my ignition circuit board and returned it to me. He could have told me the system was toast and I would have ordered another one, however he is an honest guy and the repair cost 43.00. We installed it today and the bike runs great! Thanks Mark!! There aren't a lot of businessmen out there today like him.
